Mirrored Sands

The Mirrored Sands series embarks on an exploration of both visible and hidden elements, skillfully weaving together form, color, and reflections. This collection aspires to encapsulate the innate beauty of the island's beaches in its purest essence on canvas, allowing the mind to wander and conjure the wonders concealed within the sandy landscapes.

 

As one luxuriates on the fine Caribbean sands beneath their feet, contemplative questions arise: What unfolds before one's eyes? What truths are revealed? What emotions are stirred? When the sun kisses the sand at the horizon, a mesmerizing display of shimmering glitter unfolds. As objects in the landscape dance between the sand and the sun, elongated shadows paint a captivating scene.This experience evokes a profound sense of contentment, being on the shore, close to the water; enveloped in the soothing embrace of nature.

The #Mirroredsands exhibition is open for visit from Monday to Saturday  (10 AM to 5PM) at Axum Art Cafe  the until 5th of May 2024.
