Retrospection art Exhibition

For the month of February 2024, Florence Poirier-Nkpa presents a retrospective collection spanning her artistic journey since residing in Saint Martin. Titled "Retrospection," the exhibition explores various periods, showcasing her evolution into an artist dedicated to printmaking and installations.

Through practices such as digital photomontage, collage, painting, and printmaking, Florence has refined her art, reaching a desired level of excellence. Her works, influenced by diverse sources, carry no specific allegiance but are rich in human connections. The artist's focus on the moment of encounter becomes a unique artistic surface where techniques, forms, colors, symbols, and human elements intersect, challenging the nature of the artistic process.

Since 2009, Florence's body of work serves as a receptacle for evolution and transformation, featuring self-portraits, elevated portraits, and engraved narratives without apparent visual connections. Three significant series have emerged since 2009.
